Program Objective

To accelerate the productivity, modernization, and clean-growth transition of 150+ small-to-medium property management SMEs across southern Ontario by providing structured training, mentorship, prop-tech tools, green retrofit guidance, creative financing education, and peer networks — generating measurable economic, housing, and environmental outcomes aligned with FedDev Ontario priorities.

Key Program Activities

Training & Mentorship Programs

Structured training cohorts and one-on-one mentorship pairing experienced property management professionals with SME operators. Focused on operations, tenant strategies, compliance, and scaling best practices.

Prop-Tech Adoption & SME Dashboards

Hands-on guidance for adopting modern property management software, custom SME performance dashboards, and digital tools that reduce manual work, improve tenant communication, and drive data-driven decisions.

Green Retrofit Toolkits

Practical green retrofit frameworks and SFH-to-multi-family conversion guides to help SMEs reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs, and access clean-growth incentives and government programs.

Creative Financing & CMHC Incentive Education

Workshops and resources on CMHC financing programs, affordable housing incentives, MLI Select, and other creative financing strategies that allow SMEs to grow and retrofit properties with favourable capital.

Peer Networks & Best-Practice Sharing

Facilitated peer-learning communities where SME operators can share experiences, solve common challenges together, and build lasting professional relationships across the southern Ontario property management sector.

Tenant Retention & Affordable Housing Outcomes

Tools and frameworks specifically designed to improve tenant retention rates, reduce vacancy, and deliver better tenant experiences — contributing directly to affordable, stable housing outcomes for communities.
